BIOGRAPHY

Born in Ibadan Nigeria and a distinguished Multidisciplinary Artist, Creative Director, and Experience Designer, Jay Udo-Udoma brings an impressive array of talents and experiences to his work. Having studied Communications, Sound Music & Culture at Kingston and John Cass, Jay has been one of the driving forces behind the success of Polygon8 and is also one of the founding members of the groundbreaking Multisensory creative collective, MiroShot. His collaboration with Roman Rappak (Breton) and the rest of Miro Shot led to the creation of the world's first Live Mixed Reality music show, which earned them a reputable place in the industry. 

With a career spanning back to 2006, Jay has been at the forefront of Marketing, UX design, and immersive tech. He led offline creative and events teams at Myspace UK and contributed to think tanks on the future of tech and marketing for Visit Britain and The Mayor of London. Simultaneously, he consulted for esteemed fashion brands like Dior, Louis Vuitton, Puma, and record labels such as Virgin and Sony, crafting innovative events and experiential concepts. 

Polygon8 has contributed art and commercial assignments to a diverse group of brands and organisations, including Sony, Universal Music Group, L’Oréal, Elle Magazine, EMI, Dazed, Disney, Coty, The Arts Council, BBC, Channel 4, Clinique among others. 

Drawing inspiration from the natural world, the artificial world, the virtual world, and beyond, Jay's work is driven by pushing the boundaries of what is currently possible. With an international background that spans cities like Paris, Amsterdam, Dubai, and Lagos, Jay brings a truly global perspective. 

Jay Previously signed to Sony Records and GUT has also composed music alongside Sean Mcghee, Alexander Nileree, JD aka Dreddy So Solid Crew for various artists as well as fronting the bands ‘The NDotE’ Project and ‘The Blackmoth Connection’ also performing as a DJ at many of London’s Electroclash club nights from 2005 onwards. 

He has creatively directed and produced Music videos for the likes of Charlotte OC & Miro Shot, as well as Directed the sound and music of fashion shows for Georgia Hardinge and PPQ at LFW. He has also had a varied career in the media industry presenting on TV and Radio with Lucy Ambache, Steve Sutherland and Huw Stephens and recently presented an Afroculture magazine show for Yanga UK ((CHANNEL 453 (Sky); 171 (FREESAT)).  

He is currently the Creative Director for The Omniverse, a global-facing Tech, Innovation and Connected Industries ecosystem platform and conference with its roots firmly planted in Nigeria and Africa as its primary community. Developed in collaboration with ISN Hubs and GIZ/DTC Nigeria, The Omniverse brings together stakeholders from various sectors to foster collaboration, connections, community, and content, all aimed at empowering the entire ecosystem to thrive. By providing access to a vibrant network, resources, and opportunities, The Omniverse enables individuals and organizations to scale investments, share knowledge, and expand opportunities for the greater benefit of the entire ecosystem.
