Hamad Al Hajri is the Founder and CEO of Snoonu, Qatar’s leading super app, and a prominent tech entrepreneur, investor, and regional ecosystem builder. With over two decades of experience in technology, innovation, and digital transformation, his journey reflects a rare combination of product vision, resilience, and execution at scale.   In 2019, Hamad founded Snoonu with a bold ambition: to build a homegrown technology platform capable of redefining everyday convenience. In just a few years, Snoonu evolved into a multi-vertical ecosystem spanning e-commerce, logistics, and on-demand services, quickly becoming a market leader in Qatar.   This growth culminated in a landmark moment for the country’s tech ecosystem, when Snoonu surpassed a $300 million valuation, becoming the first Qatari startup to cross this milestone. The company’s strategic partnership with Jahez Group, through a $245 million majority acquisition, stands as one of the largest technology deals in Qatar’s history, positioning Snoonu as a regional champion and a symbol of locally built innovation scaling beyond borders .   As part of this new chapter, Hamad has taken on an expanded regional role as Chief Executive Officer – International Markets at Jahez Group, where he is leading the company’s expansion strategy beyond Saudi Arabia, including the rollout of Snoonu across new GCC markets. This role reflects his growing influence in shaping cross-border digital platforms and scaling regional tech ecosystems .   Beyond operations, Hamad has also established himself as an active investor, backing the next generation of startups through GrowthX and Rasmal Ventures. His investment philosophy reflects his own journey; supporting founders who are solving real problems and building scalable, tech-driven solutions.   His leadership extends beyond business into meaningful social impact. A strong advocate for responsible innovation, he played a key role in initiatives like the “No Rider Under the Sun” initiative, efforts that demonstrate how technology platforms can drive not only efficiency, but also human-centered change.   A recognized industry voice, Hamad frequently speaks at global platforms including Web Summit and major technology forums, where he shares insights on super apps, scaling in emerging markets, and the future of regional innovation.   Through his leadership, investments, and expanding regional role, Hamad continues to redefine what is possible for technology companies built in the GCC; positioning Qatar not just as a market, but as a creator of globally competitive digital platforms.
