Dr. Marina Papanastassiou

Professor Marina Papanastassiou holdsa Chair in International Business at the Department of International Business and at the Centre for International Business University of Leeds (CIBUL) at the University of Leeds, UK.  Professor Papanastassiou held previously professorships at Middlesex University, Hendon, UK  and at Copenhagen Business School, Frederiksberg, Denmark (Professor MSO) including various visiting appointments in universities globally such as a  Visiting Professorship at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar between January 2022 – June 2023. Since 2011 Professor Papanastassiou is a Fellow of the European International Business Academy (EIBA) Professor’s Papanastassiou research focuses on the international R&D strategies of Multinational Enterprises (MNEs);  the impact of MNEs’ Global Value Chains (GVCs) on sustainability (SDGs) whilst she is currently involved in projects on global R&D and geopolitics; cultivated meat and its impact on climate change and food security; cocoa GVC in Africa among others.
