Biography
Nicolás Palau van Hissenhoven is a lawyer with a Master's in Law from the University of Los Andes and a Master's in Economic Development from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
He is an expert in international trade law and foreign investment law. He has negotiated international economic treaties and teaches various subjects at the University of Los Andes and the University of Rosario.
As a public official, he has worked as an advisor in the Office of the President of the Republic, as director of Foreign Investment, Services, and Intellectual Property at Mincomercio, and as Deputy Permanent Representative of Colombia's Mission to the WTO, among other roles.
