Biography
Wadha AlHemaidi is an undergraduate student at Qatar University, currently completing her final semester of a degree in Computer Science at the College of Engineering, with a minor in Actuarial Mathematics.
In 2021, she was part of the first Qatari team to qualify for the knockout rounds of the World Schools Debating Championships, where she also became the first Qatari debater to receive an individual speaker award. She continued debating at the university level, earning several national speaker awards.
Beyond debate, Wadha has developed expertise in artificial intelligence through her academic work and involvement in technology-driven innovation. She was part of a winning team at the Qatar FinTech Hackathon and received a departmental award for her senior project focused on Arabic Sign Language, both of which involved developing AI-powered solutions to real-world challenges.
Her experiences bridge public speaking, technology, and innovation, reflecting her commitment to combining technical expertise with effective communication to drive meaningful impact.
