BIOGRAPHY

Valeria Ramundo Orlando is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Equilibrium Climate Capital and Greensquare Ventures, two aligned platforms directing private capital toward climate adaptation and resilience, with sustained focus on the ocean and blue economies of the Global South.

Equilibrium Climate Capital is a climate adaptation and resilience platform working across three areas: capital, through private equity funds developed for Southeast Asia and the Arabian Peninsula; delivery, through the Equilibrium Growth Accelerator; and market intelligence and advisory. Greensquare Ventures operates globally as investor and financial architect, designing financing facilities and blue and green securities, including sukuk, for governments, corporates, and financial institutions across emerging markets.

Her work is directed at building the financial architecture that allows coastal and marine economiesto attract institutional capital on their own terms, channeling global capital into them rather than treating adaptation as a matter for concessional finance alone.

Before founding Greensquare Ventures, she led the blended finance team of an international conservation organization, where she designed and signed a blended finance vehicle for marine and coastal communities in Indonesia and negotiated agreements with emerging economies to structure comparable facilities. She has since advised institutional issuers across Asia and the Gulf on blue and green bond frameworks. Earlier, as treasurer of a multinational agency, she managed a USD 1 billion portfolio of environmental, social, and governance structured investments and worked on municipal and state bond issuances for the State of California and the City of New York. She has also served as a director of a private equity firm investing in energy markets.

Valeria holds an AB from Bryn Mawr College and a Master in Public Policy and Finance from the University of Southern California.
