Ms. Sandra Letio

Sandra Letio is a Ugandan entrepreneur, business leader and Founder & Managing Director/CEO of Pelere Group Limited, a growing manufacturing and agribusiness company established in 2012. 

Starting the business from her backyard with very limited capital, Sandra has built Pelere into a diversified enterprise spanning agricultural processing, natural oils and Nilotica sheabutter products, cosmetics, personal care, home care and toiletries under different brands, while creating opportunities across the agricultural value chain for farmers, employees, distributors and other small businesses. 

Sandra holds a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Management) and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, and is pursuing an MBA in Management. She has also served in entrepreneurship and business development initiatives in Uganda and East Africa and participated in international programmes focused on women’s entrepreneurship, sustainable agriculture and SME growth. 

Through Pelere Group, Sandra is committed to building a sustainable African manufacturing and agro-processing business that connects farmers to markets, strengthens local value addition and creates inclusive economic opportunities.
