Ms. Jana Treeck

Jana oversees the full scope of operations and the production of business intelligence reports across the region. With over 15 years of experience living and working in the Middle East, she brings deep regional insight and strategic leadership to OBG's cross-functional teams. Jana began her career with OBG as Country Director in Oman and has since led high-profile projects in Libya, Malaysia, and Brunei. Her professional background also includes roles as a media consultant in Qatar and Turkey, as well as managing public relations initiatives in Australia. In her current role, she is also responsible for identifying investment opportunities and cultivating strategic partnerships with key public and private sector stakeholders. Her portfolio includes collaborations with prominent entities such as Nasdaq, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bahrain Bourse, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), and the Executive Councils of the GCC, among others. Jana has played a pivotal role in delivering tailored content and communication strategies for major organizations including General Motors Middle East, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), HSBC and Commercial Bank of Dubai. She has overseen the development of reports, multimedia content, and events that position these entities for visibility on local, regional and international platforms. A passionate advocate for the GCC’s development and global reputation, Jana has contributed significantly to shaping the international narrative around the UAE and the wider region. She has secured high-level interviews, contributions, and insights from global leaders such as Dr. Angela Merkel, former Chancellor of Germany; Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye; Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations; Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam; and Lee Kuan Yew, founding Prime Minister of Singapore, among others, for OBG’s regional publications. Jana holds a Master’s degree in Information Science and English from Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, Germany.
