Ms. Anie Akpe

Anie Akpe is an entrepreneur and executive with 24 years of banking experience and 13 years in workforce development. She held senior leadership roles in New York City and Washington, DC, overseeing mortgage lending, portfolio management, and operations, including growing a mortgage portfolio from $259 million to $1.2 billion.   She is the Founder of Lumo Hubs, an AI powered innovation and workforce development company connecting universities, industries, and communities through technology, vocational training, and entrepreneurship. Its philosophy is simple: “We don’t just teach AI. We put it to work.”   Anie also founded African Women in Technology (AWIT), a global community of over 25,000 people that has trained more than 8,000 individuals across six countries and supported over 50 startups led by women.
