Mr. Zhanbolat Kakishev

Zhanbolat Kakishev is the Chief Product Officer at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) Authority, where he leads the design and implementation of innovative financial and investment products that advance Kazakhstan’s role as a leading financial hub in Eurasia. His portfolio covers Islamic finance, carbon trading, aviation finance, creative industries, and the investment block encompassing major infrastructure and industrial projects.

Mr. Kakishev previously held leadership roles at the sovereign wealth fund of Kazakhstan, Samruk-Kazyna, and earlier worked with ExxonMobil and Agip in the energy sector, where he gained extensive experience in international project development and strategic investment management.

He holds an MBA from Rice University (USA) and brings a globally informed perspective to fostering sustainable finance, industrial diversification, and cross-border investment cooperation.
