Mr. Wafic Naccash

Wafic is a Director of Government Affairs at Microsoft, part of the Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) department. Based in Qatar, Wafic leads the policy and regulatory strategy, stakeholder engagement, and outreach efforts that advance the company’s advocacy goals. In his role, Wafic develops the company's government engagement strategy on the most pressing policy issues facing the technology industry to build trust, adapt to regulation, enable inclusive economic growth, and leverage technology to address major societal challenges. His focus areas include artificial intelligence, cloud computing, privacy, cybersecurity, sustainability, and emerging technologies. With over 18 years of experience, including more than five years at Microsoft, Wafic has held pivotal roles in strategy consulting and risk management at Deloitte and Ernst & Young across the Middle East, supporting various sectors. He proudly serves on the boards of several non-profit and public service organizations, such as the HEC Paris “Advanced Technologies Club” in Paris and the IIC "Digital Economy and Regulatory Modernization" Committee in Doha, to inform and support the local public policy agenda for the digital society and economy. Wafic holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the American University of Beirut and an Executive MBA from HEC Paris, focused on Digital Transformation, completed in Doha, Paris, and San Francisco.
