Mr. Vincent Jean Martin
BIOGRAPHY
With 25 years of experience in humanitarian and development, Mr. Martin has led in the United Nations and beyond. He served as FAO Representative in China and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. At FAO, he was also Representative in Senegal and Head of the Regional Resilience Team for West Africa and the Sahel, addressing food security, nutrition, and health crises. Before the UN, Mr. Martin was with the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development in Zimbabwe. He worked in epidemiology and veterinary public health at France’s Ministry of Agriculture. Mr. Martin holds a veterinary doctorate from the National Veterinary School of Toulouse, a doctorate in agronomic sciences from the Free University of Brussels, a Master’s in livestock production from the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development, and an epidemiology diploma from the Pierre and Marie Curie Institute in Paris.
