Biography
Martin Lutz has been head of the department for development policy, agricultural policy and multilateral development banks at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy since 2025. Previously, he headed the department for trade policy in the same ministry from 2016 to 2025. In addition, Mr Lutz has been active in the areas of foreign trade, competition and procurement law as well as European integration, including assignments at the Permanent Representation of Germany to the EU and at the Office of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) in Brussels.
