Mr. Gregor Cigüt

Gregor is Secretary General of the Global Emerging Markets Risk Database (GEMs) Consortium. He heads the GEMs Secretariat and coordinates the Consortium’s work on data, statistical reporting, methodology and analytical infrastructure, while engaging with institutional investors, banks, rating agencies and policymakers. Gregor has more than 15 years of experience spanning risk management, policymaking, central banking, debt management and academia. Prior to joining GEMs, he worked at the European Investment Bank, the Bank of Slovenia. Earlier in his career, he worked at the Slovenian Ministry of Finance on treasury operations and sovereign debt management and lectured at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana.
