Mr. Dushyant Thakor

Dushyant brings more than two decades of experience in investment promotion and facilitation, ICT, and global standards

Working in close coordination with leading multilaterals, Dushyant is supporting in transformation of the World Association of Investment Prootion Agencies (WAIPA), an association representing 100+ countries  into one of the strongest voices in the space of sustainable investments. Dushyant has been involved in the launch of The World Investment for Development Alliance (WIDA) which has been established by 10 leading global multilaterals working in the investment for development space. During India’s Presidency of the G20, Dushyant has been involved in bringing together IPAs of G20 countries towards acting on an action oriented investment agenda.` Dushyant has worked in all parts of the world, specially in developing regions. Drawing inspiration from the ancient Sanskrit text “One Earth. One Family. One Future.”, he is committed to ensuring that no one is left behind, and is determined to utilize the global role at WAIPA to effect positive change.

Previously, in his capacity as Senior Vice President, Dushyant had been involved in establishment of Invest India as one of the most innovative and dynamic IPAs globally. He has been a key member of mission-mode initiatives & projects in India and has been instrumental in the setting up Gold standard IPAs in Indian States. He has previously been in leadership roles in ICT & standards organizations.

Dushyant holds a masters degree in international business from The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and a masters in computer applications from the University of Delhi. He has a honors degree in Mathematics from University of Delhi.
