Dr. Mine Ergün Bakdur
BIOGRAPHY
Mine Ergün Bakdur is Chief Economist of the International Investors Association (YASED), Türkiye’s leading business association representing international investors. She leads YASED’s economic policy analysis and government relations, representing the perspectives of international investors in policy dialogue on investment conditions, competitiveness and structural reforms.
Before joining YASED, she spent more than two decades in Türkiye’s public sector, most recently as Head of the Economic Modelling Department at the Presidency of Strategy and Budget. Her experience includes macroeconomic modelling and policy analysis, development planning, economic policy formulation and implementation, and coordination with government institutions, international organizations and development partners. She also represented Türkiye in international platforms, including the G20, the European Union, and international financial institutions.
She holds master’s degrees in Economics from Bilkent University and the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Middle East Technical University.
