Dr Andreas T. Salom

Dr Salom is an experienced investment, mining and project-finance professional with expertise in investment analysis, project development, financial valuation, economic policy and stakeholder engagement. He has supported major transactions and investment initiatives across the mining, energy and infrastructure sectors in Namibia and the wider Southern African region. Before joining NIPDB, he worked in corporate and investment banking, where he managed a portfolio exceeding N$4 billion, comprising leading companies in the mining, energy, downstream oil and gas, and infrastructure sectors. He has also advised on renewable-energy and infrastructure projects across Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Dr Salom holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Mining and Geo-Resources Engineering from the University of Porto, as well as an MBA from Porto Business School with additional certificates in Leadership and Finance. His work focuses on investment facilitation, mineral-sector development, project finance, industrialisation and the mobilisation of capital for sustainable economic development.
