Larissa Barhebréus

Ms. Larissa Barhebréus is a Senior Associate in Technology, Intellectual Property & International Arbitration at Schjødt, focusing on high-value, multi-jurisdictional arbitrations spanning international law, intellectual property contracts, brand protection, WIPO, and technology disputes. She is an expert contributor to the World Bank's B-READY Report for Sweden in the areas of trade and intellectual property law, and has previously participated as a government representative in the legislative negotiations of the European Union's Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act, including serving as Chairperson during the Kingdom of Sweden's Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2023.

Ms. Barhebréus writes and speaks at the intersection of arbitration, technology, intellectual property, freedom of speech, the platform economy, and international law. She holds dual Master of Laws degrees from Harvard Law School, where she was a Fulbright Scholar, and from Stockholm University. At Harvard, she was active with the Harvard International Law Journal and the Harvard Negotiation & Mediation Program.

Ms. Barhebréus has also studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, focusing on branding, technology, and culture. She is a member of the steering committee of Young California Arbitration and a member of WIPO ADR Young and the Art Lawyers Association.
