Ms. Yvonne Baldwin Mushi

Yvonne Baldwin Mushi is an AI and robotics infrastructure entrepreneur working at the intersection of technology, capital, policy, and human development. She is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ele-vate AI Africa, where she is building pathways for artificial intelligence and robotics to move from innovation into practical, scalable infrastructure across Africa.

Her work focuses on translating technology into systems that can function in real-world African contexts, particularly where connectivity, institutional capacity, and access to capital remain significant constraints. She works across technology development, development finance, academia, and policy, bringing together the capital, institutions, and partnerships required to move high-impact innovations from concept to scale.

Yvonne is the architect of MamaMate, a global award-winning, offline AI-powered maternal health companion designed for low-connectivity environments. MamaMate demonstrates how AI can be deployed as accessible, context-relevant infrastructure for underserved communities, particularly where conventional digital health models struggle to reach.

She is also the Founder of the Presidential African Youth in Artificial Intelligence & Robotics initiative, developed in partnership with the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) and the AU High-Level Panel on Emerging Technologies (APET). Aligned with AU-STISA 2034, the initiative has mobilized more than 10,000 young innovators across 49 African countries, creating pathways for Africa’s emerging technology talent to participate in and shape the continent’s digital transformation.

Yvonne is a recipient of two global awards from the United Nations International Telecommunication Union (ITU), including the 2025 AI for Good Innovation Factory Global Champion and the Women Entrepreneurs Shaping the Future Award. She has spoken at TEDxBerlin and contributed to global conversations through the G20, African Union, World Health Organization, the University of the Witwatersrand, and international innovation, investment, and policy forums.

Her work is grounded in a simple conviction: technology should serve humanity first, and Africa must not only consume the technologies of the future, but also help build the infrastructure, capital pathways, and institutions that shape them.
