Prof. Peter Jaskiewicz

Peter Jaskiewicz was born into a business family in Poland and grew up in Germany. He is a full professor of family business at the Telfer School of Management in Ottawa. His research findings were considered among the most globally influential scholarship on family business in 2013, 2015, and 2017. Peter has presented his findings to members of the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the United Nations. He is the leader of the Family Enterprise Initiative at Telfer, an associate editor of the leading journal in the field—the Family Business Review –and a frequent speaker at both practitioner and academic conferences. In his advising practice, he supports the development of responsible Next Gen owners and effective Next Gen teams.
