Ms.Kate Hughes

Kate has 19 years of experience working on projects related to climate change policy, financing, and technology across the Asia Pacific region. Kate is a Principal Climate Change Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) where she leads the Mitigation Team within the Climate Change Group and focuses on supporting countries to pursue transformational change to low-carbon and resilient development pathways; supporting ADB-wide operations to enhance climate considerations in their activities; and promoting multilateral and regional cooperation on climate change. She is leading the development of ADB’s Just Transition agenda. Kate holds a Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering and a Master of Engineering majoring in Energy Policy and Planning.
