BIOGRAPHY
Kanika Sahijwani is a social enterprise leader, marketing specialist, and fine-art artist hailing from India. As a marketing and business development specialist, she has worked with global brands and corporations on country-wide campaigns and international projects. She is the Founder and Creative Director of Pusaaka. Her enterprise uplifts artisans by equipping them with essential skills and creating employment opportunities, all while preserving and promoting India's rich craft traditions. Kanika is actively involved with the UNCTAD Youth Network to advocate for greater youth involvement in global policymaking. She was a member of the Strategy Task Force for the Youth Forum at UNCTAD15 Quadrennial Conference in Barbados, where she was also a panelist and co-author of the Youth Declaration. With over a decade of impactful work across various non-profit organizations, Kanika received the prestigious 2021 Diana Award, a testament to her contributions in the social and non-profit sectors. As an internationally published author on sustainability and youth leadership, her expertise extends beyond her artistic pursuits. Kanika's artwork adorns private collections spanning across Thailand, Kenya, and her native India. She is completing her MBA in Entrepreneurship from the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India.
