Ms. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh

BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, a prominent leader in Jordan, holds two PhDs in Education and Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling, and has held various senior positions. As Assistant Secretary General of the League of Arab States, she leads the Media and Communication sector. She serves as a special Envoy for LAS SG to civil society, Jordan representative to the Arab Women Organization, and a member of the Executive committee. Previously, she was the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, a Senator, and Secretary General at the National Council for Family Affairs. She spent 12 years as Regional Director for UN-Women in the Arab States, working on policy reform, gender issues, and peace. Nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005, she has received numerous international awards. Dr. Abu Ghazaleh has authored over 100 papers and articles in English and Arabic.
