BIOGRAPHY

Emma is a Senior Associate with RMI’s Carbon-Free Electricity Program, focusing on financial mechanisms to accelerate the global coal transition. She co-authored RMI’s working paper Guidelines for Financing a Credible Coal Transition and coordinates RMI’s technical input to the Coal-to-Clean Credit Initiative consortium.  Prior to joining RMI, Emma worked in the UK Treasury’s Trade and Climate Change team, where she coordinated the UK’s cross-government approach to carbon leakage, advising ministers on international carbon pricing, carbon leakage policy, and climate priorities in the UK’s trade strategy. She previously worked with EY London in its Private Equity Transaction Advisory and Wealth and Asset Management Assurance teams, specializing in emerging and developed market private equity, sovereign wealth fund, and hedge fund clients. Emma is based in Washington DC and holds an MA in International Relations and Economics, with minors in Development Economics and Energy, Resources and the Environment from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
