Ms. Corinna Hawkes
Corinna Hawkes is an acclaimed food systems expert and the Director of the Division of Food Systems and Food Safety at FAO. Previously, she directed the Centre for Food Policy and co-founded Next Gen(D)eration Leadership Collective. With a PhD from King's College London, her journey started in Los Angeles, discovering the American food movement, leading her to Sustain in the UK. She explored food poverty, then worked in the US on community food systems and consulted for UN agencies. Joining the International Food Policy Research Institute, she chaired WHO's food marketing group. Notably, she initiated the NOURISHING policy framework and co-led the Global Nutrition Report. Hawkes's role in key reports and councils has significantly shaped global food policy and sustainability.
