Ms. Brenda Villanueva de Cardoza
BIOGRAPHY
Brenda Villanueva has a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Corporate Finance from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra of Santo Domingo. She has a specialization in Applied Macroeconomics and a master’s degree in Financial Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Likewise, she has a master's degree in Senior Public Management from the Global Institute of Social Studies (IGLOBAL) in conjunction with the Ortega y Gasset University Research Institute in Madrid, Spain. In 2017 she completed the first Public Management Leadership Program (PLGP) at Barna Management School in Santo Domingo.
She currently holds the position of director of the International Department of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic, where she also held the positions of economic consultant and head of the Balance of Payments sub direction at the same department. She was economic consultant for the Regulatory Department at the Dominican Telephone Company. Prior to this, she worked in the period 1997-2004 at the National Accounts department of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic, where he held the positions of economist 1 to economist 3. He has carried out research work for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the United States Agency for Development (USAID), among other organizations.
She has been a professor in the Department of Economics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PCMM), teaching different topics. Likewise, she has taught at other universities such as the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), among others.
