BIOGRAPHY

Amanda has over 15 years of experience in Establishment Surveys at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and in her current position at the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, where she supervises the collection and analysis of international economic data. Since 2014, Amanda has been responsible for the Survey of New Foreign Direct Investment in the United States. She is responsible for all aspects of the survey, from instrument design, sample identification, data collection, data tabling all the way to publication. She routinely identifies new methodology which can increase the value of existing survey data sets. Most importantly, Amanda corroborates the robustness of the data and engages with a variety of data users to ensure the data are readily understandable. In 2016, Amanda was awarded a bronze medal for pioneering a survey of foreign direct investment and producing new, high-value statistics on the ever-globalizing U.S. economy. Amanda holds a B.S. in economics from George Mason University and a M.A. in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs.
