Mr. Nuno Santos
BIOGRAPHY
Nuno Santos, an economist with two decades of experience, transitioned from the public-private divide, including roles at Deutsche Bank, OECD Development Centre, and Colombian think-tank Fedesarrollo. Since 2006, at FAO's Investment Centre, he led teams in designing, supervising, and evaluating rural projects funded by institutions like World Bank, IFAD, EBRD, and IDB. Nuno's authored publications and supported projects on food security, agricultural taxation, value chains, rural finance, and more. Currently, he focuses on agribusiness sector studies and policy dialogue for greening agrifood systems. Holding a bachelor's in economics from Nova University, Portugal, and a Master's in international development from Harvard University, Nuno combines expertise from diverse sectors.
