BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Martin Dietrich Brauch (LL.M.) is an international lawyer and economist and works as a Lead Researcher at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI), at Columbia University, in New York. He leads research, training, and advisory work, with a focus on legal and policy frameworks and practices for sustainable investment to achieve climate change mitigation and adaptation goals—including through decarbonization and a just transition to net-zero emission energy systems and economies. His expertise extends to the governance of extractive industries and to international investment law, policy, and dispute settlement. He speaks English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
