Mr. Mark Watts

Mark is the Executive Director of C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, where his focus lies in science-based climate action and climate justice political leadership. Under his guidance, C40 has significantly expanded, now aiding nearly 100 of the world's major cities, impacting around 700 million residents. Prior to C40, Mark held roles as a director at Arup and a senior adviser to London's Mayor. He is passionate about mountain climbing and discovering new music. C40, an initiative of 90 leading cities worldwide, addresses climate change by driving urban efforts to reduce emissions and climate risks while enhancing citizens' well-being and economies. Mark oversees a 100-member team across global offices, connecting cities through proven strategies, research, and technical expertise.
