Mr. Hasan Aslan Akpinar

Mr. Hasan Aslan Akpınar was born in 1972 in Istanbul, Türkiye.  He received a BA Degree in International Relations from the Department of Economics of Istanbul University in 1994, and a MALD (Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy) Degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University in 2003. 

Mr. Akpinar has been working at the Directorate General of Incentives and Foreign Investment of the Ministry of Industry and Technology since 1997. Currently, he serves as the Head of International Relations Department of the same DG, responsible for organization, coordination and conduct of bilateral negotiations for the signature of Bilateral Investment Treaties as well as Investment Chapters under Türkiye’s Free Trade Agreements. Additionally, he deals with investor relations & promotion as well as FDI issues under multilateral and regional organizations, such as OECD, WTO and UNCTAD.
