Mr. Gianpiero Nacci

Gianpiero Nacci, Director in the Green Economy and Climate Action team at the EBRD, brings over 25 years of expertise in climate finance, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and circular economy. He's a driving force behind the EBRD's alignment with the Paris Agreement goals, having joined the institution in 2003. He established the energy efficiency practice in the corporate sector, concentrating on clean manufacturing and resource efficiency in energy, industry, and agribusiness. Gianpiero's influence spans the EBRD region, including Central Asia, Eastern Europe, North Africa, and Turkey. Prior to EBRD, he worked at IT Power India, Enron (UK), and Fiatengineering (Italy and India). Holding master's degrees from Politecnico di Torino, Italy (1994), and the University of Oldenburg, Germany (2003), he's a seasoned leader in sustainable development.
