Mr. Divine Nganje Njie

Dr. Divine Njie holds a Ph.D. in Food and Agro-processing Engineering from the University of California, Davis, USA, along with B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. With over 17 years at FAO, he presently serves as Deputy Director, Food Systems and Food Safety. Previously, he led FAO's Agro-food industry Group and acted as Deputy Director of the Rural Infrastructure and Agro-industries Division, specializing in post-harvest handling, agro-food processing technologies, and agro-industry development. He also played a pivotal role as Deputy Leader of FAO’s Food Systems Programme. Prior to joining FAO, he contributed to the private sector in US food manufacturing and academia in Cameroon and the USA.
