Mr. Benjamin Firmenich

Benjamin Firmenich has over 10 years experience in impact investing. His firm, Impact Finance, has disbursed, since October 2011, $230 million in high impact food value chains. Benjamin leads the firms fundraising effort and is a member of the investment committee. Benjamin developed Kharmax Impact Monitoring System, the company’s proprietary tool to enable portfolio companies to report on impact.Benjamin is a member of the Firmenich family, the owner of the world’s largest private company in fragrances and flavors and sustainability leader of the industry. Benjamin is a member of the Firmenich Sustainability Council and he sits on the Next Gen Committee of the Firmenich family. Benjamin also founded Nexus Switzerland, the Swiss Better Gold Association and the Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth of the University of Zurich. Benjamin holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University and a Master of Arts in Political Sciences from the University of Geneva. He lives in Geneva with his wife and two kids.
