Mr. Anar Azimov

Anar Azimov is a distinguished professional specializing in agricultural finance and rural development. Certified in Agricultural Finance by the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, he currently holds the role of Deputy Chairman for the Agrarian Services Agency within the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture since October 2021. Anar has made substantial contributions to rural development through his work in monitoring and evaluating seven Rural Development Projects in Azerbaijan, where he excels in designing impact assessment surveys, conducting statistical analyses, and leading various socio-economic research efforts. His expertise extends to addressing critical issues such as income poverty, malnutrition, and food insecurity, particularly within rural Azerbaijan. Anar has also fostered collaborations with international organizations like IFAD and FAO, local NGOs, and the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association, playing a pivotal role in coordinating socio-economic surveys, evaluations, and workshops. With academic qualifications in Business Administration and Agronomy, Anar Azimov continues to be a driving force in advancing agricultural finance and rural development in Azerbaijan.
