Dr. Zakaria Boulanouar
Zakaria Boulanouar earned his MA in Economics from Hiroshima University, Japan, and his Ph.D. from Waikato University, New Zealand. He currently works at the Department of Economics and Finance at UAE University in the UAE. Previously, he held positions at various institutions, including Otago University and the University of Waikato in New Zealand, Umm Al Qura University in Saudi Arabia, and Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai, the UAE. His primary research areas encompass financial economics, financial intermediation, relationship banking, behavioral finance, SME finance, renewable energy economics and finance, Islamic banking and finance, and research methodologies. His recent publications have been featured in renowned journals such as Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Resources Policy, Marketing Intelligence and Planning, International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management, Service Business, and Qualitative Research in Financial Markets.
