Dr. Kristin Brandl
BIOGRAPHY
Kristin Brandl is an Associate Professor at the University of Victoria, Canada and Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. She researches the impact of national and supranational policies on global business environments, FDI, and firm strategy, particularly in the context of developing countries. She is also interested in the strategies of multinational enterprises operating in and from developing countries and within Global Value Chains. Her research has been published in numerous top-tier journals, such as the Journal of International Business Studies and UNCTAD’s Transnational Corporations, and won several awards and grants. She is on the editorial review board of multiple academic journals and is a board member of various international business associations, i.e., she Chairs the Academy of International Business-Canada Chapter. She volunteers with Academics without Borders on a long-term project in Africa.
