BIOGRAPHY

M. Fernanda Garcia is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing, Management and Supply Chain at the University of Texas at El Paso where she holds the Robert E. and Jacqueline Skov Chair in Business Ethics. She received her PhD from Texas A&M University. She has published in numerous journals including Journal of International Business Policy, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management, Personnel Psychology, Applied Psychology: An International Review, Human Resource Development International, International Journal of Selection and Assessment, Cross-cultural and Strategic Management, and Journal of Organizational Behavior among others. She directs UTEP’s Center for Multicultural Management and Ethics. Professor Garcia acts as Associate Editor of Management Research: The Journal of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management and sits on the editorial boards of the Journal of International Business Studies, the International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Journal of Management Education. Professor Garcia has won several internal and external awards including the 2021 “Responsible Research in Management Award” co-sponsored by the Academy of Management Fellows and the Responsible Research in Business and Management. Her research was featured as the “Best 10 List Gender Equality 2022” by the Principles for Responsible Management Education, an initiative of the UN Global Compact. She has consulting experience with subsidiaries of multinational enterprises and small companies operating in Latin America and with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
