Dr. Dorothea Schütz
BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Dorothea Schütz is head of the subdirectorate "Middle East, North Africa, Trade Fair and Development Policy" at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action since 2014, and was also responsible for Africa until 2022. From March to August 2021, she was deputy head of the Vaccine Production Taskforce at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). During her career, she worked as an advisor on various topics at the BMWi, the Federal Chancellery and the OECD. Between 2001 and 2006, she headed the BMWi Sherpa Staff "World Economic Summit, G8" and was subsequently head of the division "Economic Policy Issues of the Labor Market" at the BMWi. After this, she served as head of the subdirectorates "Basic Issues of Economic Policy", "General Issues of SME Policy" and "Maritime Economy".
Dr. Schütz is a graduate economist and holds a doctorate from the Institute of Finance at the University of Mainz.
