BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Adriani Kusumawardani is currently working (2021-present) as the Act. Assistant Deputy for Maritime Security and Resilience under Deputy for Maritime Sovereignty and Energy Affairs-Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia. She is dealing with the SDGs related issues both at the national and international level, routine discussion with FAO, IMO, UN Bodies, International Organizations, NGOs, and relevant regional and financial institutions related to issue of the maritime and marine affairs, transition energy and renewable energy, as well as capacity building and cooperation among emerging economies countries.

Her Diplomatic career (since 2004-2021) – as First Secretary at the Directorate of ASEAN External Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Dr. Adriani Kusumawardani was dealing with the ASEAN and its Dialogue Partners (ASEAN-East Asia Summit, ASEAN Plus Three, ASEAN-United Nations). She was posted in the Indonesian Embassy in London and Canberra. 

Dr Adriani was Socio-Economic advisor to Prime Minister Office of Xanana Gusmao in Dili, Timor Leste during the period of 2012 – 2015.
