Entrepreneurs need different forms of support as their businesses grow. For some, that journey begins with developing entrepreneurial competencies. For others, it starts with basic business management tools that help them strengthen and formalize their activities. As businesses evolve, entrepreneurs may also require mentoring, investment readiness support, networks and access to new opportunities.
Through a series of short interventions, this session will showcase how Uganda is supporting entrepreneurs at different stages of their journey. Drawing on the experience of Enterprise Uganda, Empretec and UNCTAD, speakers will highlight how behavioural training, mentoring, accounting and business management tools for informal entrepreneurs, pre-acceleration programmes and investment readiness support can work together to help businesses grow and become more resilient.
The session will also illustrate the value of partnerships and international connections in expanding opportunities for entrepreneurs and strengthening the wider entrepreneurship ecosystem.
