Background
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an international organization for regional economic integration, representing a combined GDP of approximately $2.4 trillion and a population of more than 180 million. It provides for the free movement of goods, services, capital and labour, alongside coordinated or harmonized policies in areas established by its Treaty and related agreements. The Union aims to modernize national economies, strengthen competitiveness and cooperation, and promote sustainable economic development and improved living standards.
Objective
This high-level session will launch World Investment Report 2026: EAEU Region in the Spotlight and present its principal findings. It will provide a platform for representatives of EAEU member States to discuss recent investment trends, national and regional priorities, and opportunities to advance sustainable and mutually beneficial investment.
The 2026 edition focuses on the five member States of the EAEU: the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. It examines the region’s investment landscape, highlights key trends and emerging opportunities, and provides a basis for informed policy dialogue on strengthening its investment potential.
Bringing together ministers, business leaders, investors and international experts, the session will explore the factors shaping the region’s investment performance and resilience. It will also examine opportunities for regional and cross-regional partnerships, including with Gulf economies, to support economic diversification, sustainable growth and connectivity.
