Small Island Developing States (SIDS) face a unique combination of climate vulnerability, economic exposure, limited fiscal space and persistent constraints in attracting investment. Yet SIDS also offer significant opportunities for sustainable investment in areas including resilient infrastructure, tourism, renewable energy, the blue economy and economic diversification. Building on the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS 2024–2034, this High-Level Dialogue will bring together SIDS leaders, international organizations, development finance institutions and private-sector representatives to examine how investment and partnerships can support resilience and sustainable economic transformation. Discussions will focus on mobilizing public and private finance, improving the investment environment, strengthening productive capacities and translating international commitments into tangible projects and development outcomes. The Dialogue will also consider how stronger international cooperation, innovative financing, technology and capacity-building can help SIDS overcome structural constraints and unlock new investment opportunities.
