The Global Leaders Investment Summit at the start of the World Investment Forum is the preeminent platform for debate on investment for sustainable development at the highest policymaking level. It sets the tone and agenda for the week’s event. Heads of State, business leaders and eminent persons share their views on contemporary global developments and their implications for sustainable investment, and their vision for investing in the future.

The 2023 Global Leaders Investment Summit will consider the key investment challenges caused by today’s multiple global crises, including the need to invest in food security, the energy transition, health systems, supply chain resilience and productive capacity growth in the poorest countries.

Session themes

  • How are the multiple recent crises in the area of food, fuel and finance affecting international investment and what are the implications for development?
  • How can international finance and cross-border investment foster a more inclusive, sustainable and resilient world?
  • What will be the key finance and investment policy challenges going forward, and how should they translate into policy priorities and actions?
