During the Hospitality and Cultural Event, the Global Enterprise Registration (GER) Awards will be presented.
The Global Enterprise Registration portal (GER.co) is a world index of online business registration sites developed by UNCTAD, in partnership with the United States Department of State and the Kaufmann Foundation’s Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN).
The portal lists and rates, for all countries, information portals and single windows for businesses and investors. Information portals provide detailed guidance on business registration procedures. Single windows allow investors to create a company online. The objectives are to help governments simplify administrative processes, to make it easy for entrepreneurs to formalize their business, and to facilitate investment.
Since 2015, countries that have put their business registration processes online or that have significantly improved their rating on GER.co receive an award. This year, several GER.co new entries and top-rated portals for business registration will be recognized.
