With the end of the era of low interest rates and ample liquidity, as well as the emergence of geopolitics as a top concern, family offices worldwide are making significant shifts in their asset allocation. At the same time, evolving regulatory environments and demands for ESG data have forced many of them to rethink their investment strategies.

As interest in impact investing continues to grow in the family business community, achieving real impact through the effective deployment of financial resources is a key challenge that family business owners are now facing. More and more family offices and NextGen members of business families are re-examining their portfolios and sharpening the focus of their impact lens. In this session, we will hear from a wide range of investors who value environmental and social impact as much as financial returns.

Session themes:

  • How to define sustainable investments and assess their contribution to SDGs, and how to measure the social and environmental impact of asset allocation by family offices?
  • What is ESG integration and how it can be incorporated into the investment process of family offices?
  • What are the mainstream investment strategies and practices of family offices, and what is the current position of impact investing?
  • What roles can the NextGen play in impact investing within business families?
