Prof. Robert Salomon

Robert Salomon serves as the inaugural Dean of Stern at NYUAD, a newly-created business program in Abu Dhabi jointly offered by NYU Stern and NYU Abu Dhabi. He holds an academic appointment as Professor of International Management and the NEC Faculty Fellow at NYU Stern (and Stern at NYUAD, by courtesy). Prior to his appointment as Dean of Stern at NYUAD, Robert served as Vice Dean of NYU Stern in New York.  

Robert is an award-winning scholar and educator who has been teaching and conducting research on globalization and global strategy for nearly 25 years. In 2019, the Academy of International Business awarded him the Silver Medal for exceptional intellectual contributions to the field of international business. Members of the International Division of the Academy of Management recognized him as a “Thought Leader” in 2013, and again in 2019. He is also the author of an award-winning book entitled, Global Vision: How Companies Can Overcome the Pitfalls of Globalization.
