Ms. Stella Lunkuse

Inspired by failure to read in the night in her early years of secondary school Stella though she never joined the renewable energy sector just after school she never lost her dream of the aspiration to contribute to availability of light especially in the rural areas that are offgrid. Stella founded Solar Nation in 2019 after resigning from Uganda Revenue Authority to pursue her dream in the renewable energy space. Currently Stella is the managing Director of Solar Nation a company that is in the effort to contribute to Sustainable Development Goal No. 7: ensuring access to Affordable, Reliable, Sustainable and Modern Clean Energy upon which Solar Nation has installed over 180KWp in both home, commercial systems around Uganda economically impacting over 40 people through both indirect and direct jobs, socially impacting over 400 house-holds each with an average of five people which is equivalent to 2000 lives impacted and environmentally contributed to offset of 2,911,000 Carbon Emission Offset hence saving the environment by end of 2022. 

Solar Nation is relentlessly building her profile in the commercial and Industrial sector under which a Solar Dryer Section has been introduced where we design and construct customized Solar Dryers to suit our clients needs, this aims at significantly contributing to Sustainable Development Goal No. 1: End Poverty as well as Goal No. 2: Achieve Food Security And Promote Sustainable Agriculture. Solar Nation is to achieve this through constructing Solar Dryers to facilitate drying fruits and vegetables for commercial purposes. Some of our clients are Seed Research Centers, Dairy Farms and Dry food processors. At Solar Nation we have successfully built strategic partnerships with reputable suppliers like Collective Energy Africa (LV Flex Lite BYD Solar Lithium-Ion Batteries, TAB Battery and Inverter Manufacturers in, Slovenia)

Stella has a Bachelors in International Business, ACCA, CPA, Training in various Renewable Energy courses facilitated by CREEC, Challenges Uganda, USEA and CEA (BYD).
