BIOGRAPHY

Rachel is Head of Corporate Equalities, Due Diligence and Supply Chains Sustainability at the UK’s Department for Business and International Trade.

Rachel fosters business-government partnerships, for the advancement of the common objectives of ethical, resilient and sustainable growth. The FTSE Women Leader’s Review and Women’s Business Council are two of a number of the UK’s ‘business-led, government backed’ reviews; with bottom line results including, within the last decade, a rise from 9% to 40% representation of women on FTSE boards.

Rachel’s experience in UK Government spans back to 2007, based primarily in London, but to the inclusion of international postings to Cyprus, Jordan and Oman. Following 3 years based out of British Embassy Muscat, advising on Education and Women in Cyber, Rachel returned to London in 2020; lending her expertise to emergency COVID-19 strategy, with a particular interest in large scale systemic levers for safeguarding the most socio-economically vulnerable; in both UK and international contexts.

Rachel’s current work in Corporate Equalities and Due Diligence continues the theme of multi-stakeholder collaboration for dynamically designed, profitable and progressive outcomes.
