BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Abuzaid, is the principal industrial program coordinator of the African Development Bank’s  continental pharmaceutical program, including upstream investments, client engagement and ecosystem partnerships. 

A seasoned development specialist and scholar, she comes with more than 15 years of multidisciplinary experience at the Bank, the Public and Private Sector in country structural transformations, institutional and policy reforms, origination of development operations and managing global, regional and country level partnerships.  Her work encompasses country and regional industrial development, advancing PPPs and empowering SMEs across Africa and MENA region.

Leveraging her large network of global experts, MDBs, MNCs, continental regional organizations and local authorities, think-tanks and academic, she is leading the Bank’s efforts to promote international industrial investments in the continent and Africa-to-Africa exports and trade. 

Edward Mason Fellow, she has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government; Ph.D. in International Competitiveness of Medium Enterprises from the University of Reading; MSc. In Construction Management; and BSc. in Architecture and Engineering. 

Ghada is authoring a book on leadership for women empowerment in Sudan.
